The fastest way to a real number
Call if you want to talk it through, or send the form below if you would rather write it down and get a reply. Either way the next step is the same: we come and look at the basement, measure the ceiling height, find the mechanicals, check the slab for an existing rough-in and look at the ground outside any proposed egress location. Then you get a written range with the assumptions attached.
We reply the same day during the week. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation attached to the estimate.
Useful things to have ready
None of this is required, but it makes the visit far more productive:
- Roughly what you want down there — bedroom, bathroom, open rec space, or the lot.
- Your ceiling height, measured from the slab to the underside of the joists, and separately to the underside of any ductwork.
- Whether the slab already has a bathroom rough-in. Often visible as capped pipe stubs.
- Whether you have ever had water down there, and where it came in.
- Any radon test result you already have.
- Your address. It tells us which building department applies.
Which building department covers you
If you are inside Cheyenne city limits, permits go through City of Cheyenne Building Safety at 2101 O'Neil Avenue, Room 202, on (307) 637-6265. If you are outside the city in Laramie County, it is the Laramie County Building Department on (307) 633-4615. We handle the application either way, but knowing which one applies is the first thing we establish.
While you wait, the cost breakdown and the permit guide will make comparing any estimates you collect considerably easier — including ours.
